About A Bead Above

Several years ago I discovered beading and have had a lot of fun creating new pieces and learning new techniques. This has become my passion in life. There is never enough time in the day to create. Every time I enter a bead store or shop online for beads, new jewelry pieces seem to start dancing before my eyes begging to be created. I also love to create things for other people who are willing to assist in the design of a special piece to wear with a special outfit. What is so much fun about beading for me is that I can take a pattern I have been taught then create something that is truly my own just with just the right color combinations or choice of beads.

My husband also enjoys designing and building things and his choice of materials is wood, although he is always giving me ideas for my jewelry. We started our web sites to be able to share our love of crafting original items with the Internet community and offer alternatives to imported or mass produced products.

Ron and I are a home-based business located in Saratoga Springs – a suburb of Salt Lake City. We have been showing our work at local Art Festivals and craft shows in Utah, Colorado and Idaho. You can check the schedule page to see where we will be next. We hope you will enjoy browsing through our web site and purchasing a piece or two. All of the jewelry here is created by hand and many of the selections are one of a kind. They can be duplicated, but may vary slightly due to the availability of the beads. The flower garden bracelets will be originals even if they share the same beads as those in the pictures, as the adorning beads are randomly selected during the crafting process. Because my jewelry is hand crafted and not mass produced, if you see something you like, but need it in a different color combination, you can contact me via email and I will do my best to assist you with a creation that is all your own…
