Black Onyx Pendant Woven on WireThis black onyx pendant is handcrafted entirely from onyx stone and black beading wire. The stones are woven using three strands of wire which adds depth and character to the otherwise simple black necklace. The black onyx pendant is attached to the necklace using a sterling silver bale and the clasp and adjustable chain are also sterling silver. Onyx stones are members of the chalcedony family in the quartz group which occur naturally in a wide variety of colors. Others stones, such as bloodstone or carnelian are also included in the chalcedony family. Most onyx occurs with other colors such as bands of white or red and brown. Black onyx is almost always dyed and polished to create the high sheen seen in this black onyx pendant. Black onyx is said to have natural soothing properties which bring good luck and peace to the wearer.
This black onyx oval pendant is combined with 6 mm onyx rounds and 6mm cube beads which accent the carved ovals beautifully in this stunning necklace. It is handcrafted from high quality stones and beading wire, and then finished with a sterling silver clasp and chain.
